Yann & Dorothée from Mastan
Yann and his wife Dorothée moved to Berlin over three years ago in search of a new challenge. After visiting several places, they found this one—at Gneisenaustraße 67 in Kreuzberg—and immediately saw its potential. They renovated the space and added their personal touch. Dorothée, a painter with a keen eye for color, brought life to the walls with her artistic flair.
Yann has spent many years working in kitchens - across France, on cruise ships, and for several years with Ducasse, a renowned institution in French gastronomy. The fast-paced work environment, the focus on high-quality ingredients, and their passion for hospitality make Mastan a special place where guests feel at home.
After the pandemic, they felt the need for a change of scenery. Dorothée already had a base in Berlin and a gallery in Leipzig, so opening a French restaurant in Berlin—where both their cultures are well represented—felt like a natural step.
