Château Royal
It is beautifully prepared, straight forward and you trust what you are savoring.
After 5 years of renovations Dóttir opened its doors again last September in the new set up, as part of the Château Royal Hotel. The restaurant team gathers a few members from the previous one: Andrea at the pastry for example.
The leading pair Victoria Eliasdottir and Elena Müller joined forces to create a delicious menu emphasizing local products, seasonal cuisine and plant based ingredients.
Septembre 2022, Berlin's famous restaurant held by Victoria Eliasdottir "Dóttir" is reopening together with the Chateau Royal team. At the head of the kitchen : Victoria Eliasdottir and Elena Müller, former team member of the Lode&Stijn restaurant in Berlin Kreuzberg.
Their cuisine is authentic, delicious and fair.
Fair in the selection their products. They are local, the menus are arranged around the seasons, they serve what natures provides us with. There is barely any meat nor fish. Instead you can enjoy a vegetable tartelette, a fantastic fried oyster mushrooms sandwich served on a homemade bun and a crème caramel for desert.
The cuisine is strongly influenced by Victoria's food culture's heritage, a mix of Icelandic/ Swedish/ Danish flavors and preparations. Also, the time she spent at Alice Water's Chez Panisse taught her that simplicity and the respect of the products are the essence of cooking.
Elena Müller, when not cooking in a restaurant kitchen, joins the Green Peace crew on their ship and prepares meals while supporting their beliefs.
Their value for homemade cuisine and the respect for the ingredients served in an almost rustic way to confer a homy feeling.
